Morning Devotional

“Just tell me when, Dad.”

Ever wonder how to know the will of God for your life or what is the right decision?

My brave girl was climbing rocks recently. Going up was easy for her, but coming down was another story all together.

I know she was thinking “Which rock should I step on? This feels steep and harder than I thought.”

Then I heard her cheerful voice call out to her father who was close by willing and ready to assist her, “Just tell me when, Daddy.”

The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart in that moment and gave me a picture of my own relationship with my Heavenly Father.

When we just don’t know which way to go or the next right step we should make, God gives us His presence daily and His words in Romans 12:2, words I’ve learned over time to live by.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

God is working out some more things in me, and my new prayer is, “Just tell me when, Dad.” After all didn’t Jesus tell us to be like little children?
