Are we at the End of the Age?

“That field looks about ready. I’ll bet they’ll have it picked when we get home from church.” my husband said.

Looking out the van window, I replied, “Nah, give it another week, the bolls still have brown leaves. It’s not quite ready yet.”

Being a rural photographer I have had to become a student of the land and the seasons. I can sense when harvest time is coming because I know what to look for.

As a Bible student it’s much the same, none of us know the date or the hour that “the Farmer” is returning to pick and plow the “field.” But we know the season because we know the signs of the times.

I personally believe we are in a gap time where people are being shown a season of grace. The warnings have been given, now it’s time for people to respond to His voice. Are we at the cusp of the end of the age?

“And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 ESV

“Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling…calling oh sinner, come home.”

Jesus said,” Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” John 4:35 ESV

The signs of the times shouldn’t scare a believer, but put a sense of urgency to share. The time is short. The devil is loud. It’s time for God’s people to rise up and proclaim the goodness of God.
